Pony Center

A Path to Confidence
For developing essential communication skills and teaching leadership roles , the Pony Center program is a behind-the-scenes class that teaches the fundamentals of horse care. Through hands-on partnership with horses, students learn equine nutrition, stable management, wound care, different riding disciplines, and so much more, building both practical knowledge and confidence along the way.The Pony Center offers a structured learning experience where students work toward earning badges that recognize their progress, skills, and achievements throughout the program. At the end of the year, students are celebrated for their accomplishments with awards that highlight their growth and dedication.Family participation is an important part of our community. We encourage families to join us on celebration days such as Mother’s Day, Easter, and other special events throughout the year, creating meaningful shared experiences and strengthening the connection between home and the Pony Center.

Empowering Women
Equine-assisted therapy supports women by creating a safe, grounded environment where healing can happen through connection with horses. Horses are highly sensitive to human emotion and body language, which helps participants become more aware of their own feelings, stress responses, and communication patterns. For many women, this experience offers a space to step away from daily pressures and reconnect with themselves. Through activities like grooming, leading, groundwork, and simply being present with a horse, participants can build confidence, emotional regulation, and trust—both in themselves and others.Equine therapy can also support healing from trauma, anxiety, depression, or burnout by encouraging calm focus and presence in the moment. The relationship with the horse is nonjudgmental, which allows women to explore vulnerability safely while developing stronger boundaries, self-awareness, and resilience.Over time, this work often translates into improved communication skills, healthier relationships, and a greater sense of inner strength and stability in everyday life.

Healing Veterans
We support veterans through equine-assisted therapy that fosters healing, trust, and emotional regulation through partnership with horses. Working alongside horses provides veterans with a calm, nonjudgmental environment where they can process stress, rebuild confidence, and strengthen communication skills. Through guided interactions such as grooming, groundwork, and stable activities, veterans learn to regulate emotions, improve focus, and reconnect with a sense of purpose. Horses respond to presence and intention, offering immediate feedback that helps participants develop awareness, patience, and self-control. This approach creates a powerful space for recovery, helping veterans reduce anxiety, manage trauma responses, and build resilience while forming a meaningful bond with the horse and the natural environment.
